Steamer, Dale and Fell

Volunteer led guided walk - Hard, Cruise to Howtown then walk over Beda Fell to view the ancient deer forest of Bannerdale, returning via Boredale Hause. Part of the Ullswater Outdoor Festival.  9:30am at Ullswater Steamer Pier, Glenridding NY390169.  11.3 km, 7.1 miles, 6 hours approx    Well behaved dogs on leads welcome.  Suitable for those with a hearing impairment.     Please bring a packed lunch.  Walking boots are essential.  Please bring walking equipment.  Boat fare required - £1 per person.  Booking essential please ring 017684 82414

Mines and Mountains

Volunteer led guided walk - Moderate.  Spend the morning learning about Greenside Mine before traversing the dramatic Glenridding valley. A Trip to Silver Bay

Volunteer led guided walk - Moderate.  Find a cave on the upper path to the secluded and calm Silver Bay on Ullswater. Special Interest, Learn more about the Lake District through an entertaining one hour audio-visual presentation.  8:00pm at Parkin Memorial Hall, Pooley Bridge NY473245. 1 Hour approx.
